How do I remove the black stripes-covered area when scanning a document?

I have a Hp Officejet 5744, and I was trying to scan something, but it came out all black. When I tried to pass the document to the computer, it came out like the photo that is attached. Only a very small part of it was scanned correctly, the rest is yellow-greenish stripes. Later I tried to print something, and it came out perfectly, so I determined that the problem was with the scanner. How can I solve this?

check all your connections. if any are loose and can't be made snug, time for a new scanner.

unplug and replug power to scanner.

lastly, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the scanner software.

You may need to replace the bulb.
