'Your' and 'You're'. Why do so many people get these 2 words confused? Does that mean your a moron?

    No, it just means that you’re intelligence level is on a par with most Americans these days. Anyway, in every period of our history I guess there have been people who weren’t too good at grammar, It may be better at things like sports, or finances or fixing automobiles or whatever. It’s something only word nerds probably really enjoy. Like me. People with a touch of Aspergers who used to like to read dictionaries when they were younger and preferred reading books to socializing and had to compulsively look up every word in everything we read that we didn’t understand. Just so we would have a mastery of the language. Not for everybody, that’s for sure.

    It's not that people confuse them, it's just you use those words so often that when you type, your brain automatically types "your" instead of "you're" because they sound exactly the same,and then there is also auto correct which can mess it up too.
