Why does Wells Fargo keep sending a deceased person mail when that person personally dropped their account 5 years before passing?

they want you to pay an outstanding bill.

WHat kind of mail? What does it say?

Is it a statement with an account balance? If so you will have to go to the bank with a death certificate and ask to speak with a banker, they can handle it.

If is just offers and stuff, what we did when dad died was to write deceased on the letter and mailed it back/
