Many car makers are making big investments for driverless vehicles. Is there any demand? I haven't met anyone excited to go out an buy one.?

It's one more step to the robots putting everyone out of work. Uber and Lyft and UPS could be much more profitable if they didn't need drivers.

Doesn't appeal to me, but they are doubtless engineering demand by producing them. If it's available, SOMEONE will want it.

It's human nature to fear the unknown. However, once they become mainstream and ( presumably ) shown to be safe, I'm sure many people will change their minds.

It'll be interesting when those cars age and the driverless systems begin to fail.

The demand is zilch, especially when a lot of these experimental cars have caused accidents.

The Federal Government is giving them tax breaks to do so. Basically the Republicans are taking our taxes and giving our money to the car companies.

89% of accidents are caused by drivers. Cutting that down to 10% by having driverless cars seems be a good idea.

I have ridden often in a Tesla S and now a Tesla 3. Driverless seems pretty safe now, but must get a lot better to be widely acceptable.

So you imagine manufacturers wait until there's a demand before starting production? There has to be something on the shelves to produce demand.
