Jesus Christ told his followers to be “no part of the world.” (John 15:19; 17:16) Christian ministers who are no part of the world would neither avow support for capital punishment nor promote its abolition.

There IS a place for the death penalty to be imposed, but it should be used only in the most extreme of circumstances.

Last month, a new born child died after weeks in a coma. His mother, a 19 year old woman was lured on Facebook, to a house by a woman claiming to have baby clothes. She was strangled, the baby cut from her womb, her body showed up in a garbage can. The child was brain dead, due to a lack of oxygen, while it's mother was being murdered.

I'm an Atheist. i don't care about any religious claims. As a member of society, I want vengeance for this brutal crime. Call it what you will, but there are people out there that deserve it. I don't have to be merciful to prove myself better in god's eyes. There are just some people who should not be allowed to live for the crimes they've committed. I know it won't change anything in the big picture, but in some cases, nothing less will do.

Those who oppose abortions should also be against the death penalty, but many hypocrites support it. I do not support the death penalty. It's barbaric to execute another human being, no matter what they did.

Every crime is worthy of the death penalty

I teeter back and forth on the fence. I usually go with Pope Saint John Paul II saying that the reason for the death penalty is just about non-existent in this day and age, and so should not be allowed. But sometimes I side with Saint Thomas and his explanation of justice, and how having such an absolute decision in place can actually save the soul of the perpetrator.

    It's an awful idea.

I have no religious beliefs on the subject. I find the death penalty to be inconsistently applied and seriously flawed in execution. (no pun intended).

It is my opinion that we don't have the right to rob anyone of any breath they might use to repent with

And yet I have littlle Tolerance of Child Molesters or Rapists.. Be happy to pull the trigger myself

So my feelings of right and wrong are mixed up with my emotions
