My daughter was born at 38wks and was 4 pounds & 11oz. I had to see a specialist when drs saw my daughter wasn't growing anymore. I had many ultrasounds that included measuring her bones once a week then coming back and comparing new measurements with the ones from last week. The ultrasounds were rather long and boring but it had to be done. Due to her lack of growth, I was induced, but first I had to under ago more ultrasounds to make sure her lungs were developed. I got a steroid shot to help encourage this faster. This was 24yrs ago but I would guess the same thing would happen today.

As for my daughter, I ended up with an emergency c section because after 24hrs of being induced I only dilated 1/2 cm. I was put to sleep because the contractions eventually we too much for my daughter and her heart rate kept dropping. She was born healthy, just tiny, she didn't even have to go into the NICU she came into the room with me and went home with us on time too.
