In some venues this means massaging the G-spot.

That's the kind of massage you walk away sore from, if the masseuse knows what they are doing.

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.

The kind of massage that raises up any long-forgotten muscle pain and tissue injury that you might have had in the past. It is a bit painful and you body will be sore the next day, but the result is that it will allow fresh blood to reach the injured places around your muscles so that they can heal faster. We sometimes tear our muscles while doing exercise or strenuous work without realizing it, and the tissue around the injured muscle does not heal properly - and later it can cause issues such as cramps or tendonitis. Deep tissue massage can help to spread out the tissue around the wound and allow it to heal again properly.
