in a word, yes. under Clinton we not only had a balanced budget, but a surplus of money and a
very strong economy.Teens were turning down life guard jobs of $12.00 to $13.00 dollars an
hour for higher paying jobs elsewhere.

The surplus and the balanced budget were fuzzy math, which was found out shortly after Bush gave back the money that was theirs.

Bill Clinton happened to be in office during the Dot-Com hysteria in the stock market and also while Newt Gingrich brought forth his "Contract with America" which balanced the budget. Clinton accepted it while kicking and screaming. Gingrich was rewarded by The People by being thrown out of office.

There was a huge boost in the tax base via the rise of the internet and all the fortunes that were made in those heady days. I remember it well. I made money too. I dont remember the Clinton administration doing much more than just saying, "Wow, this is cool"

false. Bill Clinton had a balanced budget only because the Republican dominated House of Representatives forced it on him

if Clinton ran today he'd be a moderate republican who probably wouldn't make it out of the primaries....and if he did, he'd be accused of racism (for using Confederate imagery in past campaign ads), hate speech (for saying he did not support same-sex marriage) and hating women (for saying abortion should be limited)...
don't believe me? if you study the 2016 candidates from both sides and their histories, you'll find that the one who came closest to Clinton in terms of ideology and policy was John Kasich... who, as a republican congressman was a key figure in hammering out the bi-partisan legislation behind Clinton's economy...

Budgets come from Congress, Einstein. Congress was in Republican hands. It passed no big new spending programs. No obongocare.

Still believing that lie?! LOL Even CNN explains how it wasn't a balanced budget. Do some research instead of believing what you hear.
