States with the death penalty have the most police deaths. Can we end cultures of killing? stop the death penalty? and save police lives?

    Step by step. You end the culture of killing first. The death penalty is necessary because some people just love to kill other people - so if they are in prison for life and they stab a guard to death, what is your punishment going to be? Let him do it again?

    But correlation doesn't prove causation. And with the exception of Harris CO TX, it's rarely ever used.
