IN GOD WE TRUST is an American motto and common belief. Who do you trust?

Update:

A new law in South Dakota now requires all public schools across the state to feature the "In God We Trust" motto on display.

Fake news is the embodiment of our times, differing opinions abound, public confidence is plummeting.

Update 2:

Who CAN you trust?

Update 3:

Two thirds of the American public says they have less confidence in the media than they did ten years ago. Pew Research published a poll in March 2019 that showed that ninety-one percent of the public have at least some confidence in scientists, yet only sixteen percent of Americans can name a living scientist.

Cognitive disconnect?

Secular humanists try to redefine science as “naturalism”—the belief that nature is “all there is.”

Update 4:

It appears we are not actually trusting scientists: they are ultimately trusting what the media tells them scientists are saying— in spite of having a general distrust for the media.

My faith and trust is in God.

People will let you down and disappoint, but God will never let you down.

I put my trust in God.

Psalms 118:8 “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

You trust someone who preserves His people and individuals from danger.

You trust someone who has integrity and stores value.

You trust someone who promotes beauty and truth.

    That would be Mother Nature.

If the Americans were HONEST, the motto would be

"In SOME Gods and/or Goddesses, SOME of us rust, SOME of the time"

A few centuries ago, someone wiser than I am came up with THIS bit of advice for those who choose to believe in an undetectable GOD thingie:

"When the storm clouds gather, Trust in God...BUT, Row for shore!"

Well, as I'm not a USian, nor do I have any wish to live in that 3rd World shithole, I also don't care at all for that absurd motto. Which is also NOT the national motto of the US, in any case.

E pluribus unum, which is Latin for 'Out of many, one' is the national motto of the US.
