Is it too late for US citizens to take back our political system?

Just in case anyone still thinks voters in the US are more than pawns, look up the connection between Trump, Bannon, Brexit and Cambridge Analytica. We willingly give our personal....VERY personal info, away and it has been actively used to target us by the powers that be with the clear intent to manipulate. We really need to wake up.

    Maybe.

The corrupt tech industry monopolies have been allowed to practically eliminate free speech and have allowed personal information to be exploited by who knows how many unscrupulous entities. I'm all for breaking up the monopolies so it doesn't happen again!

You’re assuming it belongs to, or is the control of the people in the first place.

This assumption has no basis in reality or reason.

And no, just because it says “We the people” doesn’t mean the people own or control it.

A state means a legal monopoly of aggression and fraud.

Now if you had a legal monopoly of aggression and fraud, and you were using it to subject the entire population to compulsory indoctrination during their formative years, would you use it to teach them that you are a legal monopoly of aggression and fraud, subjecting them to your double standards based on force and threats?

Of course not! You’re going to use it to teach them what in fact the State does teach those subject to its power while under their compulsory indoctrination: that the State is a kind of service institution, a kind of benevolent club, a kind of general socio-economic optimising device, a selfless, all-knowing, super-economising superbeing over and above society, and concerned with redeeming suffering mankind from their errors and imperfections.

    In a word, a God.

But it ain’t. In reality, these assumptions are wrong. All we need to do is state them, to see that they are preposterous, self-serving, bullsh!t.

You don’t like what the State is doing? Oh? And what are you doing to do about it?

Since your personal, individual consent is not required, what makes you think any other subject is in any better position - excepting those who use the State to live at others’ expense?
