No, but world economy is dependent on U.S. $$$$$$, brands, media, music, film, studios and economy.

At one time, perhaps, but not since the 21stCentury when it took its place as a country among countries. There are people who believe that America's sh*t is ice cream, but they'll die out soon enough.

Nowadays, USA is the most powerful country however China is becoming a giant and they have a lot of potencial to grow economically and military. They already have great shares of the external debt of a considerable number of countries, but the future can always be very surprising.
