Why does god not send prophets in modern times?

Simple. Because there is no such thing as a prophet, and no god to send them.

Old Testament style prophets are not with us anymore, but there are individuals who have the gift of prophecy. It's a rare gift.

The prophets of God were given God's instructions to pass on to man-kind....ALL of The Instruction God inteded for man-kind was pass on by about 2,000 years ago..... no new instructions will be given until God's Son returns to Earth at some time in the future..... no one knows when that will be ... not even God's Son.... but the earliest it could be would be 7 years from the time I am posting this.......most likely a generation or two at least

There is nothing else to say, that's why we have the Bible, why don't you read it sometime.

He does and a person can know this with certainty by reciting the rosary each day with care.

It's not necessary. We still have fortune tellers, medicasters, shamans and the like.

Because now His Holy Spirit dwells in all believers and we don't need a man to tell us what to do.

God will lead us

There are prophets in modern times, but they are not the voice of God, merely the echo of the voice of God

God does send great souls even in modern times, but are not recognized

Because in modern times God has sent ministers instead to help people to lead moral and happy lives.

Hebrews 13:7

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
