If video games are causing mass shootings them why don't other countries have this same problem?

Every country has video games. Violent video games, even. Grand Theft Auto ianplayed by more people outside the US than in it. As are combat games, etc.

But the US is the only country with a mass shooting problem.

We are also the only country other than Somalia where anyone can legally purchase any gun pretty much on a moment's notice or on a whim.

Seems like lax gun laws are the problem.

They don't have an issue, and Japan has some of the most violent video games on the planet.

The whole problem is the number of guns - there's more guns in our country than there are people.

It would be ignorant to say that video games contribute to mass shootings, it is the individual. Personally I feel that these atrocities are committed because people are not listening to each other. When a person tells you they feel like **** or they are upset or they even feel suicidal most people ignore these signs. Then when somebody goes postal suddenly everybody's trying to find unrelated things to point the finger to. People that are hurting or don't know how to connect with other people are the reason these atrocities occur.

The problem that the US has is the second amendment. In nearly every country, the citizens don't have a right in the constitution to carry arms, and to boot, a supreme court that took it to the literal meaning.

Therefore, you can play all the violent video games you want in Japan. You may dream of doing that in person, but you will never in your life be able to get the guns.

On the other hand, in the US they are readily available due to it being consecrated on the laws. Therefore, there is nothing holding a crazy wacko back from carrying out what he saw in a video game.

So the problem is the COMBINATION. Since the US constitution does not enshrine the right to violent video games, people are thinking that maybe they can be made a problem, because so far the issue of gun availability seems quite hopeless.

Something is triggering these young people to kill .. These games may not be the cause or effect most people,, but it could effect the mentally challenged ,, As far as purchasing a firearm its not a s easy as you think, I am sure you have never held or tried to get one..

Video games are not the cause.
