I just look outside and think about positive thoughts, my family, and God. :)

I'm the kind of person who can't rest until I've solved the root of the problem. I can't just casually decide to take a break and think about it tomorrow. So what I'd do is think of why it all happened, what can be done, and make sure I do it ASAP.

If it's something out of my control, I'll go have a jog or something but I don't think I'll truly be at peace until the problem is fully resolved.

Fortunately for me, I'm retired now. But when I did work, I tried to be kind to myself on those days. Nothing is forever, and that day will pass. Be patient and try to steady yourself emotionally. Don't rush. You don't want to do something dumb (like Miss Mama), and step off a curb and twist your ankle. You have enough to deal with already, so just take it slow.

When you get home, you can crash. Make yourself a mug of hot chocolate, and curl up with the cat, and watch your favorite movie.

Going outside into the fresh air and drinking cold water always relaxed me at work when I was really stressed.
