Ive got tons of friends that are gay and never had controversy on religion vs homosexuality. Most are embarrassed that their gay counterparts even try bring religion into the subject of their homosexuality ...

Most of my beloved friends...arent Catholic...most of the people i know as Catholics are acquaintances...

Looks like somebody has a lot of pent up anger and self loathing. BTW ... The Blessed Virgin Mary agreed to be the Mother of God after due consideration of all the pertinent facts. She even kept the angel Gabriel waiting, while she processed all the implications. This, in spite of the fact that she had been personally dedicated to God (in a formal Temple ceremony) for that precise purpose, when/since she was three years of age.

There have always been types that challenge God. "They have their reward". Compare Matt. 7:6, John 3:18.

You 'worship' whatever you are willing to sacrifice your blood and treasure to, whether that 'deity' is willing to accept that from you or not.

Your characterizations are crude and inaccurate, but let's say I grant them anyway as an 'immature' perception of GOD. What is YOUR alternative other than:

1) Acknowledging your own current 'deity,' (that to which you willingly surrender life and treasure in exchange for visions for humanity's future, guidance, etc...);

2) Self-delusion that you 'have no deity' even while you willingly sacrifice those things to an 'idea' anyway.

Those who reject GOD and Christ worship something called 'Progress.' In Christ's day, people called it 'Mammon' after a god of greed who blinded his followers to the reality that they were trapped inside his system of self-termination by 'spinning' their deaths as heroic valor, necessary sacrifices or similar 'noble' concepts, (public spin once referred to as 'spell casting').

How is what you are doing any different today, other than the name change?

Shortly after betraying the Christian Church, the 'secular' scientific movement used its knowledge, (gathered within the original Christian 'university' system), to overthrow the authority of the Church. It applied the knowledge to warfare applications in order to do this, immediately trapping itself inside of an inescapable arms race, (which continues to this day), ultimately being forced to produce weapons of mass destruction just to survive its own failure to secure these increasingly deadly weapons. This has resulted in World Wars, (a brand new phenomenon), states of perpetual war, (like the 'war on terrorism'), the halting of the Church's original university vision of world peace through economic equality, the squandering of vast treasures on futile explorations into space, (where nothing but a deadly vacuum exists to justify the lost lives and treasure), the reversal of longstanding cross-tribal brotherhood attained through business and religious organizations, the reigniting of racial wars, culture wars, ethnic wars, gender wars, and now even 'preference' wars, as 70 million people lay dead or dying from just a single lethal sexual virus alone.

Brash experimentation with deadly chemicals and drugs has pervasively poisoned the planet and unleashed incurable cancers, drug wars, overdoses and self-poisonings, (one person dying every eight minutes); widespread negligence and needless accidents kill people at a rate comparable to soldiers on a major battlefield during a World War...I could go on and on.

That is the legacy of Mammon or 'Progress' to which most repudiators of GOD and Christ pledge their energy, resources, personal devotion and future, (once known as 'worship' before it was redefined to mean almost nothing at all).

Are you willing to compare that with the accomplishments of those who 'worship' that 'cruel, fictitious, inhumane, childish and terrible' GOD you have described above?

Before the great betrayal, (predicted in Holy Scripture and referred to as the 'apostasy,' 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4), the Holy Church had reached delegates from every tribe on earth with a message of universal forgiveness and cross-tribal brotherhood which culminated in the joint formation of the first 'university' system of higher education and the agreement to share all world knowledge, the exhibition of unmatched artistic and social genius, and the grand institutions and social models which later shaped the entire 'modern' world itself.

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28).

No one involved in this Project was using the term 'Progress' yet. No one involved was driven by inspiration from 'atheist' visions. In 4,500 years previous, nothing 'atheist' managed to even form a nation, let alone traverse the globe with a message acceptable to all of humanity. Before you buy into the lie that the Church compelled all of these diverse tribal representatives to share their knowledge and receive a 'higher education' by forcible rendition and with a sword under their throat, please get a grip.

The force used by the Church was tactfully employed to secure all deadly weapons from evil hands, (evil being recognizable by a lack of conscience regarding women and children), to broker peace and referee all warfare within their expanding domains, to strictly prohibit the production and distribution of deadly chemicals and drugs outside of the 'university' system, to preserve, defend and protect the honor and virginity of women along with holy marriage, (stifling sexual diseases and fornication), to punish anyone unwilling to accept world peace through economic equality among ALL tribes by using honor bound knights to suppress any aggression aimed at destroying this holy work.

Would I 'worship' such a deity?

Yes I do in fact worship Him, especially considering that the alternative is systematic self-destruction.

No I cannot. The Christian god is the most remorseless, vindictive, cruel, barbaric, murderous character in all of fiction. It would not be possible to create anything worse.
