Did your baby ever had issues with feeding?
My daughter has been in the nicu for a week now. On her 3rd day there she started to take bottles (those pre made similac ones) her feedings is the only thing keeping her in the hospital.
She’ll take the bottles for certain nurses otherwise she won’t. I try to feed her and she just will lay their smiling at me until she falls asleep. If she doesn’t take the bottle they’ll put it in her feeding tube.
I’ve had calories to the formula and my breast milk to help her gain weight. But since the Calories she’ll spit up a lot of refuses to take the bottle. I feel like half the time they feed her she isn’t hungry ..
Any tips? This has been the longest week of my life. I just want my baby to come home.

Yes, this describes our now 26 year old daughter perfectly when she was in the NICU. It took two weeks before she could take in enough to be able to go home.
There is nothing you can do to speed it up other than what you are doing. Eventually she will be able to do it, I promise.

give that baby the boob, the hormones in mom milk are VERY important to the baby,
she should have the boob for the first three days, the colostrum comes out, if not find a way to get to the baby when you can, sounds like she has issues, empty colostrum caps into water and give to her if necessarry, don't forget, and remember she needs nutrition. westonaprice know nutrition, read and know......
