Interesting   My brother  had a accident  at age 8 and had  one eye ball removed  and shoots a gun ... ones premise  that TWO eyes are needed and one MUST CLOSE one Eye  in the process of shooting a gun or bow  is FALSE    most literature  indicates if you have two eyes one should  ADOPT   the practice  of   both eyes being open   there is a SIMPLE  means to  find one "DOMINATE "  eye if one has two  eyes  hold you  hands  out use your  two first fingers an thumbs to form a triangle   focus on an object on a wall ( clock  calendar photo )   close one eye open then the other eye  the DOMINATE eye is the one where the OBJECT stays within the triangle of your fingers

Further from the gun this allows the eye close to the gun to line up with the direction of the weapon.

If you are right handed...you typically use your RIGHT eye. A pistol is held straight out...both hands...both eyes equidistant. Rifles...the gun is held sideways...right eye...down the sights or scope.

Some people are left eye dominant...

you must figure out your dominate eye and use that one for aiming.
