It's been a few weeks but sometimes at work (I work in a kitchen) if I got hungry but was too busy to make anything I'd throw one of our meatballs in the deep fryer as a snack. Also worth mentioning, in culinary school I had a chef from Italy who told us that spaghetti and meatballs is extremely non-traditional and very Americanized. Meatballs are usually served with just tomato sauce and maybe some onions and bread, and long-noodle pastas are always served in some kind of emulsified sauce where pretty much everything else is a small enough size to incorporate with the pasta.

There ya go. That one's on the house. :)
