Have aliens ever visited earth? You are starting out with a mistaken logic. You say there is some evidence that aliens have been here. BUT you are assuming that ET's exist. If you ASSUME that witches exist, then it could be witches that are visiting earth. If you ASSUNE that ghost exist, then it could be ghost that are visiting earth. If you ASSUME bigfoot, Santa, Loch Ness, (an almost infinite number of things) exist it must be them that are visiting earth.

This whole notion has been fermenting since 1947 and still the truth hasn't changed.

Aliens have never been to Earth. It is highly unlikely that humans will EVER come into contact with an intelligent alien species. Space is simply too big. Considering the age of our galaxy, if intelligent aliens could master interstellar travel there should be at least some evidence of it. No, the most likely case is that even if there are intelligent alien species out there (and I believe there are) they are unlikely to ever go beyond their very nearest neighboring stars. Likewise, humans will likely never go much beyond our neighboring stars.
