replacing ignition cylinder lock !?

hi guys ! I have a 1999 Chevy blazer 4.3, 4x4 and I need to change the ignition lock cylinder because it's starting to stick ! all I can find on (you tube) is for a 99 Silverado ! would it be the same as my 99 blazer ? thanks guys !

    It is the same.

    Disconnect the negative battery terminal, Remove the cowling, Rotate the ignition to the start position (with the key), push the release hole with a pick of some kind, and pull the cylinder out.

    If the ignition SWITCH is bad, it's a bit more involved but from 98 and on, is similar to GM trucks near the same year.

    Make sure it's not just a worn out key. You can go to the dealer with the VIN and they cut brand new keys in their code cutting machine. Don't just have a key made off of the old worn out key. Use WD-40 to lube the tumblers first.
