I applied for a job through email in Sheraton Centre Hotel, Ottawa Canada. Wonder if the emails I received are legit from the immigration?

They asked me to $326 and that's it. And Sheraton Centre hotel also responded telling me I have to pay it right away within 5 days or else my visa process will be rejected. Is anyone familiar with their hiring process? Please help.

It is a total scam. Hotels CANNOT hire overseas workers. And, even if they did, they would pay you; it would cost you nothing.

This is a pretty common scam.

I'm very familiar with htis hiring process because people have been asking this same question for years. It's kind of sad to see it coming back again.

The answer is this hiring process is a scam! The whole set up is to get ou to pay that money.

What's the first clue for you? There IS NO Sheraton Centre Hotel, Ottawa.

SCAM The letters from immigration were probably scams too. Report it to Ottawa police though it could have come fromoutside Canada.

Not only are they scamming you for money, they want you to send your passport so they can sell that information! Legitimate companies don't hire that way. If you don't believe us, CALL the Sheraton and ASK.

    Of course it's a scam.

On top of all the other signs of it being a fake, do you really believe the Sheraton or its legal firm would be using an AOL.com email address?
