Do LEOs suffer from PTSD?
Police officers, LEOs, State Police and Sheriff Deputies see death, protect people they are know are guilty. The see death from accidents, suffer from bad marriages and most of all, they have their own problems at home. Then to get flipped, that makes me mad.
There are some: Most LEOs do nice things to the young, the elderly, kids and comforters. You all don't forget that. I am not an LEO or have family that is, so don't think that. My parents are both doctors. They have experienced Police cry and break down.

Anyone can suffer from PTSD. It is common with victims of crimes, too.
If you are asking if the exposure an LEO gets increases the chances, the answer is yes.
The last study I saw suggests 1 out of 3 officers involved in a shooting can not return to duty.
