People always ask you what you're feeling, but never why you're feeling?

i think its because many people are not psychologically minded and many people don't have the answers now.

It's just an old saying.

It means nothing.

Some people don't even know why they are feeling a certain way and if they want to tell you why, i'm sure they will without you asking.

Somebody at least wants to know how you feel. I am completely surrounded by people who can't feel, they ask me How are you? I say I am fine, they say that's good I'm great, so when are we going to chill then? You need to send me pictures of you. Such a conversation makes me even more willing than I should to die. Whoever can think "I'm fine," has never felt sadness and pain.

Honestly most people dont really care. They were just trying to be polite. Its like when someone asks how are you doing today and you answer but they never ask why. If the person responded with why most people would be caught off guard like woah this is awkard or wow someone actially cares or they may even think maybe this person likes me. Its just not normal for people to go beyond the surface today and when you do most think its strange.
