Planetary Distress Call - Please Help Us.?

Question

So...after perhaps one too many episodes of Star Trek, and perhaps seeking answers where none exist, I have come to the possibility that there is a secret way to get help from those watching this world.  This secret way, I hope, is to ask.  Nobody ever seems to ask.  I am.

This is a request for help from the people of the Earth.  If you are monitoring our computer internet system, please heed this request.

We live on a world where we are all slaves, yet all believe themselves to be free.  We are told the greatest achievement is to own a home, which we never really own, yet are taxed for "owning" forever.  Our lives are taxed from birth to death and beyond.

Our children's minds are stripped of their ability to think critically through compulsory education systems invented in the dark ages.  They are given questions like, "Why is America the greatest nation on Earth?"  They are denied questions like "In what ways does America fail it's people?"

From this lack of ability to think critically comes an utter abandonment of logic and reason.  We are told that it is inhumane to kill a cow, but that to kill an unborn infant is the epitome of culture.  This culture is not ours and does not represent humanity globally.  This "culture" is what is forced upon is.  It is not us.  There are those among us that seek reason and enlightenment.  It is for those of us that I ask for help.  The Earth is under siege, it's people unknowing hostages.

Please help.

What makes you think aliens still use the primitive technology that humanity does? For all you know, they could be using a technology so advanced as to make radio communication and the internet seem like paper cups and wire, thus rendering your plea meaningless and worthless.

In other words, yeah, you have been not just been watching too much Star Trek, you've also been deluding yourself into thinking humanity has reached a technological level that is worthy of the attention of alien species. The Borg wouldn't even bother to pay any attention, let alone assimilating humanity at this stage of evolution.

Dear friend we are aware of the problems on planet Earth. We are sending to you our terraforming craft. It's only 3 years away from Earth at this time. It cannot be detected by your instruments because we have it cloaked. We will send also our people to try to save the people of Earth by properly educating them in caring for the planet and for each other. We plan on staying with you for one thousand of your years. We will be using our equipment to repair your planet. And over the course of a thousand years. We will teach you to weed out the people that are destroying your planet. We will give you. Animals plants and trees. To replace the ones that are endangered and have gone extinct. Help is on the way! In the meantime spread the message of Hope for your planet and take care of each other. And your planet as best you can.

We of the Federation of Words have heard you cry... this is the reason we have not asked you to join us. Not because of the problems you have listed but because we will not tolerate a planet full of whining and complaining fools that do not bother to educate themselves. All the knowledge you want is both in your libraries and computer systems and yet you know very little. Yet you still find the time to complain endlessly. We will wait another 100 years and see if you have improved any.

Nonsense. You're the one who is not thinking critically. What is the alternative to buying a house and paying property taxes? Having no police or fire services? Have no free education for your children?
If there were an intelligent species of aliens out there, their first question to us would be "Why doesn't everyone have access to decent health care?"
