Does Freddy Vs Jason actually have anything to do with the original Nightmare On Elm St & Friday The 13th series?

    Freddy vs Jason is pretty much a fan service movie, for fans who wanted to see their favourite slasher movie killers face off against each other. The movie spent more than 10 years in development hell before being made. It doesn't have anything to do with the original stories, then again the sequels in those series tended to make up their own continuity as they went.

    Yes...the two roles, Fred and Jas, are the same roles as in the original movies that spawned them.
