I don’t have insurance on my condo and my upstairs neighbor had a leak that caused damages to my condo. Can I file a claim with his company?

Yes you can. Hopefully, the tenant or owner will tell you who his agent is and give you the phone number.

You can. Good luck with it.

That is exactly how that would work, yes.

His company is going to ignore you since the insurance isn't in your name and they have no clue if you are even telling the truth - its not like car insurance. Instead you need to go to him directly to try to get paid your costs and take him to court (probably small claims) if he refuses. If he then wants to file a claim he can.

no you can't. He probably can, under his liability insurance.

You need to speak with the condo manager first. They need to determine where the leak is coming from.

    I would think so.
