How to calculate the population of a state given the apportionment value of 1 seat per 30,000 people (as in the original constitution?

If someone gives me the population of an imaginary state and asks how many people the state had [for purposes of apportioning representatives in the House of Representatives and imposing direct taxes under the original Constitution, how would I calculate that?]

Take their word that they gave you the correct population number. or, pop/30,000 to compute reps.

If someone gives you the population of an imaginary state and asks you how many people the state had (for any purpose), the answer is kind of right there.

And there's zero house district that has 30K people. If that was true, there'd be thousands of people in Congress.
