The 2000s are the 2000s, the first years of the 2000s are post 90s I usually consider.
I was born in 1987, and even in 1990 to 1993 the 80s was fading out-quick. I still remember me watching MTV and listening to 80s music. I still remember my family just having electric clocks in our house, and the alarm clock was typically either electric or keywind mechanical. Quartz alarm clocks had a hefty price tag. Quartz wall clocks were seen here and there and were just getting ready to take over. For instance nowadays when you buy a battery operated wall clock it didnt clamour all over the package how innovative and accurate quartz was, and have quartz wrote in bold letters clamourizing it, but in that time it did. Canister vacuum cleaners were still standard in regular stores which they faded away from the regular market. In that day we referred to a cell phone as a car phone. They were casually only used in cars and were not really portable, a black case, a regular sized telephone.
