What happens if I miss my appointment with the irs to prove my identity?

I got a letter from the a while back saying I needed to make an appointment to prove my identity. Well I have a appointment in July but I missed that and now I’m not sure if I can still make one or not. And yes I know it’s a bit late lol

    If you ignore them long enough eventually you can end up in jail.

    Call them and make another appointment, and show up for it.

    Nothing funny about it. You will deserve whatever it is they decide to do which could very well mean prison. IRS doesn't fool around.

    I'm pretty sure you can make another appointment.  Call them and see what's the deal.  Before they come after you!
