When will the current version of capitalism crumble and what will follow?

The next major economic movement will be technological advancements. Maybe 20 or 30 years from now, there will be massive job shortage due to automation of what are currently common jobs. At that point, there are only two outcomes. 1) We continue down this path of corporatism and the richest get exponentially richer while the middle class becomes nearly extinct or 2) We have major changes to our economy in such a way that all people receive basic income, funded by major taxes on the largest tech corporations.

The current version of capitalism is called cronyism. US is not capitalist right now, it's half socialist. what will follow is more socialism until the little capitalism left is all gone.

Capitalism already crumbled and was replaced by corporatism.
