Is it alright for parents to leave a 15 yr old girl home by herself while on vacation?

    No, not really.

    Too much can go wrong.

    Best to send her to a friends place or have an adult friend or relative come stay.

    No, and it is against the law. A 15 year old is a minor and still under the guardianship of her caregivers (the parents in this case). 15 year olds need the support and safety of being with their parents. You could leave her with another responsible adult, but you'd really be better off taking your daughter with on vacation.
