    The situation describes a statistic. The owner collect information about a sample of the total population.

    Well ... a sample of 150 from a total of 50,000 isn't the entire population.

    So you can dismiss the last two answers.

    ''The situation describes a statistic'' (the second answer) is the one that is correct

    because a parameter would only tell you the lowest and highest income .. not the average.
