Do we really need a remake of "Midway"?

Like any actor today can compare to Charleston Heston and company.

Can't recall hearing of a big demand for a Midway remake, but it could turn out to be a good movie, you never know.

We don't "NEED" it but why not ?

Heston was 53 (fifty three!) and portraying a naval aviator who would normally had long been promoted out to a command position, not a fighting one. The 1976 film is replete with inaccuracies, badly assigned stock footage of the wrong type of airplane.

The new movie has the main characters portray REAL people, as opposed to completely made up ones.

And with CGI, the airplanes will look like the real things (wrong airplane just kills any possible enjoyment I might have in a movie).

So yes, we need this one. The 1976 one should be garbage in comparison (and Heston was not that good an actor anyway)
