    I would first start off by ensuring that you're uploading images that meet the IG requirements such as file size and file type. You also need to be using your smartphone, which you probably are since you've successfully uploaded videos.

    If you're uploading photos that are of the correct file type such as JPEG and not an unsupported file type such as NEF or CR2, then I'd try uninstalling the IG app and reinstalling it.
