No, I was an eBay buyer. Sometimes the item arrive broke or it didn't arrive at all. The buyer go through a lot as well. Not just the seller

I used to be an Ebay PowerSeller, once upon a time. I made more doing that than I did working at my regular, full-time job ...granted it was a low paying job.
I met a girl (online) who worked at a toy store in India. I would buy cases of collectable Indian Barbie dolls from her, which she would ship to me as "gifts". The really nice ones were about $15 each, plus shipping from India. I would sell them for $80-$100, then give her a kick-back after each shipment was sold (usually a few hundred dollars).
It's was illegal to ship items to be resold without an export license, and Mattel India's licensing agreement did not allow Indian shops to sell their products outside of Asia, either. That created a nice demand.
There were also little "Kelly" dolls that collectors would pay about $30 for each. They cost me $1.50.
Anyway ...eventually, the Indians living in India realized they could sell those dolls themselves and they easily undercut me. I never told the girl I bought them from what I was doing with them.

Mostly liars and cheats.........all of them.
I collect, buy, sell and trade Swarovski Crystal.......and most are shysters who falsely describe the merchandise.......claim they "don't see" the chips and scratches, (which are instantly visible the second I get the package.).........so "they don't see".......is a euphemism for, they are Mr. Magoo, or Ray Charles........not that the piece doesn't have a number of flaws.
Likewise, I have sent pieces, that I went over with a magnifying glass before shipping and verified as flawless.......and when they get the piece, they claim it's chipped or damaged or has some flaw and demand a refund. I get back a piece is clearly NOT the one I sent........and what they do, is swap out their broken, chipped one, for a flawless one. ...and call me the cheat. I've been ripped off too many times, and now will only deal in person......face to face.

Since 2008 I've had one scammer but didn't fall for it and a handful of people who ripped me off, saying it's broke or they didn't get it and eBay never sides with sellers. Most people on there are good and do want to use it correctly. I only sell stuff I have finished with, I tried retailing but things were going of fashion too quick, suddenly nobody wants to pay much any more.
