    Food releases aromas when heated.

Drinks quench thirst and are refreshing when cold.

It works both ways, cold sandwiches are nice with a warm beverage too.

Ice cream is not good when it is warm and coffee is not good cold. Don't talk rubbish.

It depends on the food.  Green salads are usually eaten chilled, while tea and coffee is usually drunk while hot.

That is not always true. Ice cream tastes better cold. And hot cocoa tastes better warm.

Ah. You've never had an Irish Coffee on a cold rainy night. Coffee, shot of Irish whiskey, topped with whipped cream.  Have a couple.....

Cold food -- gazpacho, sandwiches, left over fried chicken, left over steak, chef salad....

Hot beverages -- coffee, tea, chocolate, toddy....

cool or room temperature beverage -- English beer, wine, whisky, water....

Actually, I dislike cold drinks, I don't do iced drinks.

    I don't agree.

    Fried chicken is great cold.

    Coffee is better hot.
