God did tell us, and said that on the day of judgment the wicked and godless and unrepentant would wail and gnash their teeth, dear.  They also make good examples of how not to be, dear, just like the atheists in R&S demonstrate as they do the will of their father, the enemy of humankind, who they assert is not real either, dear.
