Sign in suggestions for win 8.1?

Laptop was on last legs (keyboard iffy, so use USB keyboard. Screen dead so use HDMI to TV). Try to sign in to my account: no luck. Tried onscreen keyboard, no luck. BUT on screen does allow me to sign in as guest, etc which does me no good getting to my files I wanted to offload. Seems strange keyboards would work for everything except signing in to my admin acct. Any suggestions would be appreciated

    You've got a few options:

Boot into a Linux live CD or some other live CD that allows you to access your files from outside Windows and copy them that way.

If you have a second, functioning computer, remove the hard drive from the laptop and connect it with a transfer cable such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-SATA-USB-Cable...

If the keyboard works everywhere but Windows then it's probably an OS issue. If you have Windows 8.1 installation media, you can try to reinstall the OS without formatting the drive. This will place your old files in a Windows.old directory that you can access from the new installation.

Learn how to use technology, maybe. But let's be real here - you're a geriatric obsolete old fuck that's going to rot away in just a few years. You would NEVER bother to learn something and instead burden younger generations to figure it out for you. I get paid 300k a year taking advantage of hostile, tech illiterate morons like you, so it doesn't bother me much. Haha
