why so many questions about politics nowadays? don't people have other things to be interested in?

I get those politics questions featured on my main page too, I guess it's in everybody's front page the minute we click into the site. I avoid the politics forum all together. I also noticed that most of the questions are rants and fighting about left and right politics and don't even get me started on the kind of answers those type of questions get.

Yes, i have plenty of other interests and i don't pay a lot of attention to politics. But i do watch the show Scandal right now. That's enough politics for me, and it's probably far from fantasy.

Some peoole just want a question that gets a ton of replies, and gets on the featured page. The best way to dk that is to ask questions on highly polarising topics that will bring out a lot of people with strong opinions one way or the other. Politics is definitely such a subject these days

.. and anyway, what with Trump in America and Brexit in the UK (to name just two things) keeping up to date with politics is quite important these days.
