i'm not all that impressed with schiff to be honest, but his description of that call was pretty accurate as far as i'm concerned:

"The transcript of the call reads like a classic mob shakedown: — We do a lot for Ukraine — There’s not much reciprocity — I have a favor to ask — Investigate my opponent — My people will be in touch — Nice country you got there. It would be a shame if something happened to her."

A somewhat clumsy phone call, where Trump pointed out a source of corruption Ukraine should look into. Nothing more.

After delaying military aid to gratify his Russian handlers the president decided to use the opportunity to get a little schmear for himself, and got caught.

“I would like you to do us a favor though,”

Said in response to a request for Javelin missiles. The favors asked were meant to be used to smear a potential political rival.

Getting dirt on opponents is somehow okay as long as Trump is the one doing it.

Normal for Trump, make up some chit about my political opponent and I will release millions of military aid to you
