Doesn't it make more sense that psychological and behavioral traits lead to crime and poverty rather than poverty leading to crime?

    Yes. This is a case of correlation, not causation. There are plenty of decent, poor people, and plenty of rich not-decent people.

    There are lots of crazy aberrantly behaved rich people only they don't go to jail for it. In some cases yes-- schizophrenics and untreated bipolar often wind up in conflict with the law and homeless and in poverty.

    no it doesn't. Overall crime-rates correspond with income disparity. Thereś little crime where everybody is poor, or where everybody is rich.

    Poverty is a byproduct of other people being rich
