How do I stop YA from emailing me whenever someone else answers a question I answered?
I don't see it in options to check off under preferences.

Okay.......once again, let me copy my answer from the last 50 times I have answered this..............
My experience has been, that it's not a matter of changing your preferences on your profile..........but there's a message that occasionally pops up , after you answer a question, that sez "Please email when someone else answers this question" (or something to that effect)
You have to click on THAT when you see it to stop these damn notifications.
The trouble is.....it only pops up once in a blue moon, and you have to catch it , when it does------because then it won't appear again , for god knows how long.
Right now, I have 800 of them in my in box.......and I can't get rid of them.
I click to delete, and it only delete's ONE at a time.......not ALL of them!!!
I had over 900 of them, before I finally saw the message again, and thank GOD was able to turn the damn thing off.
but now I still have over 800 of them, which I have to delete 1 by 1.
Look for the message after you answer each question.....
clicking or unclicking anything on your profile page DOES NOTTTTTT STOP this problem.
Glad to help.......please ignore the other wrong answers here.
okay??? see? 3 Thumbs down, and people still saying you CAN'T TURN IT OFF!!!! oh Lord Jesus help me rid the world of willfully ignorant people who ignore facts staring them in the face.
You click on THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS------
Get email notifications when there are new answers to all questions I answered
or rather, you UNCLICK the bloody thing, to stop those notifications!!!!!!!!!!!!
it appears UNDER the source box......when you answer a question.
It appears ***ALREADY**** clicked, meaning you WANT the notifications! If you don't turn it the M****** F****** OFF.........you will be flooded with those notifications which are a B*tch to erase.
Is that CLEAR enough for all the high and mighty know it alls here? GEEEEZUS!

Just uncheck the box next to "Get email notifications when there are new answers to all questions I answered." You could also go back to your previously submitted answers and uncheck the boxes there. This option is already pre-set by default and you can never find that under preferences.

When you answer you will see it at the bottom of your answer, just turn it off there.
Just under "What's your source" Looks like this.
Get email notifications when there are new answers to all questions I answered

At the moment, you can't. All you can do is hope they fix the glitch that's causing users to be emailed when they don't want to be. You can set a rule in your email (depending on which email client you use) to send those emails straight to the trash or some other specific folder, so you don't get them in your inbox. Of course, it will also send any BA notifications to the designated folder as well.

That is a glitch. You have to wait until they fix it. There is nothing you can do until then.

When you answer a question there's a global option at the bottom where the submit button is. That checkbox is supposed to set the notification attribute for all your present and future answers. Make sure it's unchecked on your next answer. It's a weird place to manage an option for other answers, but that's how they do it.
