That's possible but it sort of depends on how you're communicating. Texts don't offer the opportunity to inject tone or emotion into words. But if you're talking on the phone or video chatting you stand a better chance of not falling into mistaking a text for meaning more than it was meant to.

Probably not. And by probably, I mean there's a 99.99% chance that it will not work.
Long distance relationships definitely are work, but they very rarely do work. That's just a cold hard fact, and facts are cold hard things. Liars may figure, but the figures don't lie.
My first true love was the perfect example. We were each other's first everything, and we swore we would be loyal to each other until the end of time. But then her parents decided to move 1.5 hours (driving time) away, and we knew it was over. We stayed together for a few weeks, then ended it by mutual agreement. As it turns out, the long-distance thing is nearly impossible when you're 14 years old and don't own a vehicle.
My next long-distance true love ended the same way. Different town, different hair colour, but same story. But instead of mutual agreement, she just dumped me for some idiot who had a nicer guitar than mine. To this day, I'll never play a Kramer.

Yes. Whether in person or online, it’s the same things make a relationship work or not. It mostly depends on how compatible the two of you are.
