How do I deal with my girlfriend having a period ?
So I’m completely knew to the whole period thing and experiencing it for the first time, so my girl and I have been together for 6 months now and recently now is on her period, only this time the effects are worse than normal, she tells me certain things that r hurtful and she yells at me a lot and is just simply not satisfied with my company, like I know I can’t argue or complain back because with that time of the month it’s only gonna make it worse, like I feel like I don’t know her and I had dream once that she completely forgot about me and it was the worst experience ever and it reminds me of that, how do I deal with it and how do I know if what she tells me is really how she feels or it’s is just the time of the month talking

I am going to start by saying that I am a woman in my early 50's.
In my opinion - even during that time of the month - if you think it - then you really do feel it. PMS doesn't cause thoughts that aren't actually there. PMS does make it easier to become either angry or depressed or just plain emotional. But WORDS come from THOUGHTS and those thoughts are not caused by PMS.
I also don't think that any woman should use "that time of the month" as an excuse to suddenly become mean and hurtful to the people who should matter the most to them. I never did. (I don't think my marriage would have lasted 32 years and still going if I had)
So - you have a choice. But this choice could also end the relationship.
1. Either put up with her PMS moodiness and just try to avoid doing things that upset her during that time of the month.
or
2. Tell her that you know her period makes her feel miserable, but that you are not going to put up with being that way toward you.
If she does calm down and treats you better even during that time of the month - you should certainly also still be sure to avoid upsetting her during that time of the month. It is only right to not give her a reason to feel worse.
Women really CAN control what they say during that time of the month IF THEY WANT TO.

Try asking her what she needs from you.
Offer to get her a heating pad. Ask her if she wants some comfort food. I always found that tomato soup from Panera made me feel better. Or sometimes fruit like oranges.
I'm actually happy to be past that time in my life.

many women become emotional around the period time. tell her she must realise this and not act crazy. maybe be more sensitive with her around this time as well.
