Is Dubai safe to travel for Americans right now?
My friend and I booked tickets to travel to Dubai in April during the month of November.
We did not get insurance on the flight and I’m not sure if we will get a full refund.
Do you think we will be fine there? I know Dubai is safe but with everything going on I am not sure if we should cancel our trip.

Well as of now, under current situation you should wait and watch, even though Dubai is going to open for tourists from 7th of july 2020, but still it will take some time to get things normalised.

No, you should cancel. Stay at home until the curve flattens or starts coming down. Try to get a refund on tickets.
Dubai will never be a good (I say good not safe because no one would dare attack an American openly but that doesnt mean they dont hate America (9/11)) place for Americans because it ******* sucks in so many ways. In almost every conceivable way tbh.
No its not now safe bc the virus isnt gone and it never will be safe because its a shithole/hellhole even without the virus. The internet says its safe but if you wanna like bathe in a sea of third world islamic mud then you have a ****** up definition of safe. you have partial lockdowns or lockdowns in a lot of places and dubai just started opening up after a brutal lockdown. If they put another lockdown then you'll know the meaning of being stuck in a muslim dictatorship that is all too happy to sponsor terror. Wait until the virus is gone or waned significantly more.
And honestly I dont think Americans should expose themselves to toxic places like Dubai but its your money and your life if you wanna blow it up, its up to you. My 2 cents as a guy who lost a lot like a lot in Dubai and wasted 33 years there. Its sad that an American would even conceive of the idea of going to a place that blows so bad and whose government is complicit in 9/11.
Gonna be a real delight to see how many thumbs down this gets. NOT!
Source(s): If you get raped they'll throw you in jail. And no country with such strong ties to Pakistan/KSA and so many Pakistanis in it can be called truly safe. - 1 year ago
Dubai and the entire United Arab Emirates is one of the safest place & country for the travelers. In fact, UAE more safer than your on country based on the Global Peace Index and far ahead in the list of world's safest countries to travel. You should not be worried about safety.
Month of April is a good time and having pleasant climate . I suggest you to take medical insurance as healthcare can be costly for a traveler.

You won't have any problems in Dubai.
If you are really worried about it then trip cancellation insurance is cheap. Do check the details since tip cancellation insurance often does not pay for much.
However, having trip medical insurance is critical unless your home medical insurance covers you in the UAE, which it probably does not

Travel if you want.
MOST travellers have little issue on real vacations.
It is a good idea to have "get you home medical insurance".
An emergency medical evacuation can be around $10-20,000.
I’m not sure if we will get a full refund. SUGGEST you READ the terms you agreed to when purchasing your tickets.
CHEAP is cheap for a reason that often includes No refund.

You can (and should) take out travel insurance now.
See what the official advice is regarding travel to that area from your government (and keep checking; it may change)
