New Nfl format?
Would it better to change the format to NBA type like the eastern and western this will be NFC vs AFC and instead of 6 teams going through it will be and we get rid of number 1 seed and 2 having a bye by having all of them rest one week then 1v8 2v7 3v6 4v5. WE could still keep the divisions just so it could be easier with scheduling and the way to break of same record ties would be who has the best record against their division. What do you guys think ? Do you have any ideas to make it more interesting?

8 teams per conference would mean that literally half of the NFL makes the playoffs. Teams would make the playoffs with records of 9-7, 8-8, or even losing records far more frequently than they do now.
With 8 playoff teams - presumably 4 division winners and 4 wild card teams, you could theoretically have an entire division make the playoffs.
This would also make the regular season nearly worthless, since only the worst teams would even have to try.
You would also see far more teams resting starters toward the end of the season - if you've clinched a playoff birth and have bye as an incentive to earn the top seed then why put your star players at risk of injury in games that don't really matter?
I think the league will probably expand to 7 teams, by adding a 3rd wildcard team and having 2nd seed vs 7th seed on wildcard weekend. But I think they'll keep the rest of the format in tact.
I don't really like the idea of watering down the playoffs with more teams, but adding one more is better than your proposal of adding two more.

I do not believe that the NFL playoffs will go straight to 8 teams per conference. However, the current playoff format is outdated. Keep in mind, the NFL has had the same playoff format since 1990, a year when there were only 28 teams (compared to 32 now) and 3 divisions in each conference (compared to 4 in each now). Back then, the format made sense because it allowed for 3 Wild Card teams in each conference (we only have 2 now, with the additional division in each conference).
I think the NFL will take the intermediate step to 7 teams per conference, by adding another Wild Card to each conference beginning the playoffs following the 2021 NFL season.

No it would be much worse.
It would just increase randomness. The NBA can reduce randomness because they play more games but your idea is only slightly better than drawing names out of a hat.
Both the NFL: and NBA systems are pretty lousy and are designed more for TV ratings than finding the best team. Your idea is a giant step backwards from that.
