can some keep an item left in thier house  if it was only agreed to be there for short term?

my   sister is keeping  my daughter from getting her valuable items  out of my sisters house  can she do that actually keep the items 99 % possession  of the law   or what ?

    Your daughter can sue to regain possession.

    Your daughter might have to go to court to get them, and your sister could probably charge her for storage.

    she can always get the police to help her get her stuff out

    it's technically theft but how are you going to prove it wasn't a gift if your sister denies it?

    anyway, why is she keeping something from your daughter? (if there's no good reason we can now be sure your sister is untrustworthy).
