Oatmeal for the stomach virus OK to eat?

    Oatmeal has not bad effect, if you are eating it (properly chewing). Improper chewing oatmeal cause of blockage digestion. There are a lot of things that you can take like banana, rice etc.

    I usually go for toast and ginger ale. And apple sauce.

    eat whatever you can keep down. Usually doctors prescribe liquid diets for a day or two - like jello, water, tea, broth.

    If it's a really bad stomach virus, then no. Oatmeal will only further absorb

    water that's in your digestive tract, and then be really heavy if you happen

    to throw-up (due to being sick). Just stick with jello, 7-up, broth, and clear

    liquids.

    It sure is. Especially with fruit. It will improve the immune system.

    Clear liquids and broth are what I suggest. Also saltine crackers too, if anything ginger ale and clear liquids.
