how do I figure out of she is telling the truth. She seems very very shy and polite does not want to talk about it and seems so eerily calm and measured.

Chances are if she were guilty she'd have been prosecuted and sentenced to prison. So if that didn't happen she probably didn't do it. However, if she's just out on bond and awaiting trial this would be a terrible time to get involved with her.

Don't get involved. If it isn't to do with you, don't make it your business. That is the best advice I can give you from my limited resources. If you decide to trust her and she's actually guilty, you may end up dead. It's best to just let her get on with her life, and you get on with yours.

Women aren't usually killers, but anyone can become one, if the need arises. The real question would be, if she did it, was there actually a good reason? Just answering a question about the millions of children the US government blew into pieces for oil and drug profits, and how they support that. Are you supporting a child killer? Yes you are.
